About The Pink Room
Actually, the Pink Room is painted a lovely 'Santa Fe red' and is a mirror image to the White Room. The Pink Room has a single queen-sized bed, and its own bath in the room (ensuite) with a shower, toilet, freestanding sink, and toiletries.
Sitting at the spinette (an antique desk that once housed a harpsicord) you will look out onto the east pasture and will see how we nestled the house into the woods. In the spring, summer and fall, you may see the llamas sleep in this pasture at night. The front window overlooks the gazebo (Dee's favorite place to sit with coffee and laptop), and the small front pasture, lined with a new pollinator garden and blueberry bushes. This room gets the first morning sun, so whether you are naturally a morning person or need a bit of natural encouragement to rise, this room is for you.
The art in this room includes work made by Dee and contemporary artists from Western Massachusetts. The Pink Room has a wardrobe to hang clothes and you will find extra blankets or quilts inside. In the dresser you will find extra pillows.
Control your own heat to your needs. In the summer we have fans available, and thanks to our country location, the air cools down at night, so we don't need air conditioning. The Pink and White Rooms are entered through a hallway separate from the main house. Since COVID, each room now has its own Keurig coffee maker, microwave and toaster. Please note that our solar power prevents us from placing refrigerators, air conditioners, and televisions in the rooms.
This is a lovely room.
